EY 100 Trees for 100 Years

Event Video (Proto-Brand Documentary)

In celebration of EY San Antonio turning 100 years old, their staff planted 100 fruit trees at a local elementary school. The event, a powerful symbol of the company’s enduring commitment to growth and sustainability, offered rich visual and emotional moments. To document the festivities, Daoud took various shots of EY's team members preforming community service.

The (very) abstract themes of the video was hard work and growth, both of which were somewhat represented by the roots of the trees, which are later paralleled by the streets that make our city. The last shot in particular, features the Frost Bank Tower, where EY's San Antonio office is located, representing the "1" in "100".

While the video sufficiently achieved it's goals of demonstrating EY's ongoing commitment to community service, in hindsight the video could have been made a lot more effective with an interview or speaker. These remarks, when coupled with the imagery above, would create a much more impactful "brand documentary".

Additionally, with some amount of planning, we could have incorporated more history about those 100 years of business. By better demonstrating this, we could have amplified the impact this video would have. With a proper emotional core, brand documentaries inspire a deep sense of loyalty.
